Electronic Health Library of BC (eHLbc)

Purpose

BC ELN is the Administrative Centre for the Electronic Health Library of BC (eHLbc). eHLbc provides the academic and health care community of British Columbia with easy access to online health library resources. The purpose of eHLbc is to support and improve practice, education, and research in the health sciences. 

History

In January 2006, the consortium called the Electronic Health Library of BC (eHLbc) was formed to purchase province-wide access to selected online health knowledge resources (databases, indexes, abstracts and full-text journals). eHLbc was officially launched on April 1st, 2006.

Membership

Member organizations include all publicly funded BC post-secondary institutions providing health education, the BC Ministry of Advanced Education, the BC Ministry of Health, the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development, all BC Health Authorities, the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons, and various BC health organizations.
