Stronger Together: BC ELN’s 2025 Innovation & Success
We’re excited to share the BC ELN Innovation & Success 2025 report!
Across our network, BC ELN partner libraries worked together in 2025 to strengthen shared services, improve sustainability, expand access to resources, and support students, faculty, researchers, and communities across B.C. and beyond.
A few highlights from the year:
- $15.2 million saved through consortial licensing and shared services
- 78,000 interlibrary loan requests fulfilled through Illume
- 29,981 research questions answered through AskAway
- 4,787 student submissions supported through WriteAway
- 294,000+ digital items made discoverable through Arca
- 35 post-secondary libraries working together across the network
So much is possible when libraries work together. Through shared expertise, participatory decision-making, partnerships, and a commitment to equitable access, BC ELN continues to deliver benefits far beyond what any one institution could achieve alone.
