Undergraduate Foundation Collection (UFC) Renewal 2015-2016

The Undergraduate Foundation Collection (UFC) is a core suite of databases consisting of Academic Search Premier and Business Source Premier. Libraries subscribing to the UFC receive access to Academic Search Complete and Business Source Complete.



Updates: 

The 2015-18 UFC renewal was conducted by survey this year, ratified by a consensus decision by the BC ELN Steering Committee with the agreement of all partner libraries.

The new agreement brought the following benefits:

  • No price increase in 2015-16 for libraries already at the Complete level
  • Upgrades to the Complete level for all other libraries at steep discounts
  • Low price increases (2% to 3%) in 2016/17 and 2017/18
  • A two-year license term, with the option to extend to three years

All libraries now have access to Academic Search Complete and Business Source Complete.
