2026-27 Outcomes Report

Overview 

In January 2026, BC ELN began its annual New Resource Selection process, asking partner libraries to suggest resources to be considered for consortial licensing, and adding those suggestions into the 2026 Ranking Survey.

  • Twenty-three libraries participated, for a response rate of 66% (see participants at the bottom of the page)

  • The top two ranked resources were:

  1. O'Reilly Academic for Higher Education
  2. Canada Commons

Negotiation Outcomes 

BC ELN is now exploring the top-ranked resources and following up with vendors to determine the feasibility of consortial licensing. The outcomes will be summarized below:
