Strategic Planning Process: 2026-2027

Help Shape BC ELN’s Next Strategic Framework.

This fall, BC ELN is beginning a strategic planning process to shape priorities for the coming years. We want to hear from our partner libraries and community about what’s working, what’s changing, and where working together will have the greatest impact.

We're currently preparing a partner library staff survey. Watch for an invitation to share your feedback, as well as upcoming library director focus group dates.

About the Strategic Planning Process

BC ELN is approaching the conclusion of its 2023–27 Strategic Framework at a time of pressing challenges and significant change in the post-secondary sector - and within BC ELN itself. This is an opportunity for BC ELN libraries to come together around shared priorities and goals for the future.

Under the guidance of the BC ELN Steering Committee, we’ll gather community input through a survey and focus groups this fall. Partner library directors will also be invited to participate in planning meetings to help shape BC ELN’s future directions and short- and long-term goals.

How You Can Participate

BC ELN Partner Library Staff:

  • Complete the survey this fall to share your feedback and insights
  • Check back here for new opportunities

BC ELN Partner Library Directors:

  • Participate in a focus group for your BC ELN constituency to share your thoughts
  • Attend Strategic Planning meetings to help shape BC ELN’s vision and strategic directions
  • Consider volunteering for the Strategic Planning Coordinating Group – a small team that meets regularly to coordinate the strategic planning process
