AccessScience Renewal 2016-2017 [1]
An addendum has been added to the AccessScience License Agreement. The addendum is available for viewing and download on the License Terms and Conditions [2] page.
There are two upcoming AccessScience training webinars:
To RENEW, no response is required from current subscribers as listed above. To CANCEL or to CHANGE OPTIONS, libraries should contact BC ELN by the response deadline.
Late joins are allowed; however, McGraw-Hill will not accept any license for less than 12 months. Therefore, new subscribers may join mid-license but must agree to license the product for more than 12 months (the time remaining on the license as well as the full following year).
Supporting Documentation:
Additional information on AccessScience can be found at the McGraw-Hill AccessScience website at www.AccessScience.com [4].
Statistics:
COUNTER-compliant statistics are available through the vendor. Information on obtaining your institution's usage statistics are available at: http://subs.sams.mhp.semcs.net/LOGIN?sessionid=c19a54ef4aa617b660a0d254ee36d49e&authstatuscode=400 [5].
If you need a reminder of your administrative log-in credentials for access to either your current or legacy usage statistics, or if you have any questions, please contact techsupport@mhprofessional.com [6].
Your institution’s usage statistics for August 2007 through November 2013 can be retrieved via the Legacy Statistics Site. Use your institution’s pre-2014 administrative log-in credentials (i.e., no appended “admin” suffix) that were sent to you when your subscription was first activated for access into the site. NOTE: access to the Legacy Statistics Site [7] is subject to end without advance notice. Please retrieve any legacy data you may need as soon as possible.
MARC Records:
MARC records are available on the McGraw-Hill Subscriber Services Portal [5].
Federated Search:
AccessScience provides a ContentShare API for libraries that wish to incorporate AccessScience content directly into their local search results. The ContentShare API is a search-engine-friendly data set placed in a secured location. The specifications for crawling, incorporating results, and linking directly to AccessScience assets from results will be provided to active subscribers on request. If your institution wishes to incorporate AccessScience in its federated search engine, please use the Contact Us [8] form ("Contact a sales representative" option).
Renewal pricing is now available for AccessScience. This database is made available to BC ELN partner libraries through a national site licence negotiated by the Council of Atlantic University Libraries / Conseil des bibliothѐques universitaires de l'Atlantique (CAUL-CBUA) on behalf of Consortia Canada.
