2015-16 Ranking Survey Outcomes Report

The survey identified three high priority items as candidates for a BC ELN consortial licence:

  1. JSTOR journals
    • After discussions with the vendor, it is clear that consortial licensing of JSTOR journals would bring little value to member institutions since this product is already aggressively priced and there is significant existing market penetration.
  2. Lynda.com
    • Initial investigations clarified the complexity of licensing this product. A large number of insititions license this product already; however, frequently Lynda is licensed by non-library departments. Moving forward will take significant time and effort. Investigations are currently on hold while other priorities (Common Suite investigations) are being met.
  3. Books @ JSTOR
    • Successfully licensed July 2016.
