2015-16 Ranking Survey
The 2015-16 Ranking Survey results are now available. The survey asked each partner library to identify, in ranked order, its respective top three preferences from the resources nominated through the BC ELN Resources Forum.
The highest priority resources, as identified by the survey results, are:
- Books at JSTOR
Twenty-nine libraries participated in this year's survey (see Appendix B). Four libraries declined participation.
BC ELN will first investigate consortial pricing for Books at JSTOR. The rationale for this approach is that no partner library currently licenses this resource and it was voted most likely to be licensed by the highest percentage of libraries.
The Resources Forum and Ranking Survey are one of many avenues BC ELN uses to explore future licensing activities. As other opportunities present themselves, BC ELN will communicate additional options with partner libraries.
The aggregated score is the sum of the points assigned by each partner library where a ranking of 3 (highest priority) is assigned a score of 3 points, a medium ranking is assigned a score of 2 points, and a ranking of 1 (lowest priority) a score of 1 point.
