4 Seasons of Reconciliation
4 Seasons of Reconciliation is a multi-media teaching unit that promotes a renewed relationship between Indigenous Peoples and Canadians, through transformative multi-media learning. This educational initiative, developed for the post-secondary sector and the workplace, incorporate teacher guides, slideshows, videos and films along with engaging online portals.
The resource includes the following units:
The College and University unit is a 5-hours unit with three hours in class and two hours at home. The unit covers the essential topics of reconciliation, inspired by the First Nations University's Reconciliation Certificate Program. During the unit, students access an online portal and complete the additional 2-hours of learning through video and reading resources. A list of readings for both graduates and undergraduates are assigned to students. Faculty members have access to an online portal, enriched with additional bonus material for professional development. Students also have their own learning portal.
Professional Development Unit
The 4 Seasons of Reconciliation resource is available for professional development use in workplaces and educator sectors. This resource will assist your organization in meeting some of the Truth & Reconciliation Calls to Actions.
