BC ELN is pleased to announce a new offer for purchased BC newspaper archive content. This offer includes a special discounted price for the purchase of archive content for The Province (1898-2010), the Vancouver Sun (1912-2010), and the Times Colonist (1884-2010), or all three. This is a one time purchase with perpetual access rights. These collections include full page image scans, with metadata for articles, editorials, obituaries, ads, cartoons and more (over 20 types), and are cross searchable with other products on the ProQuest platform. This offer comes to partner libraries at a discount and with no annual hosting fees if libraries purchase before June 15, 2021.
There are 2 potential deadlines with this offer:
- March 15, 2021 if you would like invoicing split between fiscal 2020/21 and 2021/22.
- July 17, 2021 is the last day to respond if you want to participate in this offer.
Updates:
Important! This is a joint offer with The BC Library Coop. Geo IP authentication would be included to facilitate province wide access for all British Columbians should a participation spend across both consortia reach $1,150,000 CAD. An updated total contribution will be sent to all partner libraries throughout the offer period.
The vendor is offering the flexibility of splitting payments between fiscal years for partner libraries who would like to pay a portion in fiscal 2020/21, and the balance in fiscal 2021/22. Please refer to the pricing section below for important information about this offer's consortial pricing.
