Books at JSTOR Offer 2018-2019
Subscription Term
Begins:
March 1, 2019Ends:
February 29, 2020Overview
Books at JSTOR offers more than 65,000 ebooks from renowned scholarly publishers, integrated with journals and primary sources on JSTOR’s easy-to-use platform. All titles offered in Books at JSTOR are available exclusively in a DRM-free, unlimited-user model. The ebooks work just like the journals on JSTOR, with unlimited simultaneous use, downloads, and printing, and no need to log in or use special software.
Demand-Driven Acquisition
Demand-Driven Acquisition (DDA) offers access to a large set of high-quality titles for discovery and use, but your library only pays for those that reach a threshold of usage. You can include all 60,000+ titles in your DDA account, or build a profile based on parameters such as publisher, discipline, language, copyright year, or maximum price. Your users can access and use the titles in your profile, and when usage of a title reaches a set threshold, an acquisition is triggered and the library’s deposit account is debited the price of that title. Once a title is triggered, the library will have perpetual access to it.
Evidence-Based Practice
Evidence-Based Acquisition (EBA) offers access to more than 36,000 high-quality backlist titles from 45 publishers for a set upfront fee; after one year of unlimited access, you can select titles to acquire for perpetual access, using the usage data as a guide. This model can help you meet the research needs of your patrons while controlling costs, simplifying workflows, and incorporating both usage data and librarian expertise in your acquisition strategy.
Subject Collections
Subject collections are available in core disciplines that see high usage on JSTOR, and we also offer a collection of ebooks in Spanish.
