With Sage's Evidence Based Acquisitions Program (EBA), institutions pre-pay the minimum tiered content fee and receive access to the whole SAGE Knowledge Collection for one year.  At the end of that 12-month period the Subscribing Institution can choose titles to license in perpetuity based upon evidence-based usage, up to the value of the initial pre-paid deposit.

Cambridge Companions are a series of authoritative guides, written by leading experts, offering lively, accessible introductions to major writers, artists, philosophers, topics, and periods.

Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) eBooks are a one-time purchase with annual hosting fee and additional features. 

This database provides in-depth introductions to the lives and works of writers, the history and influence of literary movements, and the development of literary genres. [from vendor]
